SP Announcement for 2021-2022 Season

Next Season 2021-2022, SP Academy teams will play in the National Premier League Great Lakes Alliance (NPL). NPL is a national competition platform for boys & girls U10 - U19, created to allow top soccer clubs to play meaningful, high-level games against comparable competition. Since the Academy was formed, teams have played in various leagues, including MOSSL, BPL, and COPL. Some teams were tournament-only, but competition varied widely depending on the tournament. A move to NPL will increase the level of competition, challenging our young men and women to get better. Participation in NPL will also provide enhanced opportunities for player development, with more exposure to college coaches compared to the current showcase model. The decision to move selected teams to NPL is consistent with the vision of the Academy to continue to increase the level of quality and competition for our top teams.
